a small bat pack

We have been working closely with urban ecologist Jo Ferguson from the Bat Conservation Trust to develop a bat’s highway, read more here. Now, we have launched our first charitable product called A Small Bat Pack™ which is starter kit to improve outdoor space (whether a terrace, a stoop, a garden or a pocket garden on the street) into a bat-friendly space. The Bat Pack is jammed with bat-friendly activities and importantly, it has DIY manuals on things you can do (insect hotel, pond, bat-friendly planting, compost heap). 

This is a project to raise bat awareness to protect them where they are present and give tips and tricks to improve bat habitats where they need a little extra help. We have preprepared a user-friendly animated video that explains why bats are bio-indicators, what they need to thrive (not just survive) and how local residents can help. It is a video aimed at young people, children particularly and ecological enthusiasts, watch below.
